2022 Master Workshops Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for workshops 2022

The workshop must be paid in full on the day of sign up, or you must at least select Payment Option 1 (in the drop down menu) to secure a place.

Regarding payment plans:

To secure your place you must sign up with Payment Plan 1. Three months after your sign up we will contact you for the next payment (Payment 2). Then three months from there, and again three months from there.
All payment plans must be made six weeks before the workshop start date. If you are unsure about this, please email me: [email protected]

Cancellation policy

The first payment plan (Payment 1) is your non-refundable deposit, or that equivalent if you have paid for the workshop in full.

The full balance of the workshop must be paid at least 6 weeks of the start date. We will send you a reminder when the final payment is due.

We are able to offer a 90% refund of payments 2, 3 and 4 up to 12 weeks before the workshop start date (or the equivalent there of, if you have paid in full).

For cancellations made less than 12 weeks before the workshop start date, we are not able to offer a refund. Please note, this is non-negotiable other than if this COVID related.

Covid Review

Three months before the workshops start date, we will review that is it safe to travel to the UK for all participants and the tutor. If the workshop is postponed, and you are unable to attend the new start date, then you will be given a full refund or there is an option to move to another workshop of your choice the following year. If you are unable to attend because of COVID 19 related issues, we would ask you let us know as soon as possible and if I cannot fill your space, we would ask this space moves to a workshop of your own choice the year after.

Food & Drink

Your evening meals are your own responsibility, unless otherwise states to be included in the workshop. All lunches are provided, and I will ensure your dietary requirements are met. Breakfasts are your own responsibility, unless staying at our on-site accomodation, namely The Maltings, or if you are coming with us to Staithes. We will go out to several local pubs, and the bill for this is your responsibility.

Photography & Videography

We will take photographs and have a professional film crew film throughout the event for promotional purposes. Please know that by accepting these terms and conditions you are agreeing to have your photograph or film taken, and it may be published for promotional purposes in the future. It is important that you know that filming and photography will take place, though we will do all we can to not disturb you in any way possible.

Travel Insurance

You are required to have your own comprehensive travel insurance when attending the workshop including trip cancellation and liability cover, full cover for your personal belongings, accident and emergency cover. With COVID 19 and other factors that come into play, this is essential for you to take out when booking onto a workshop with us. It's worth looking into cancellation insurance too, with the way things are at the moment. This is a good website to compare travel insurance prices: www.comparethemarket.com

Accomodation

Your accomodation is your own responsibility and not included in the workshop fee, unless you are coming to Staithes on Lori Putnam's workshop, whereby the accomodation is included in the price.

Postponements

In the highly unlikely event we have to postpone for another year (into 2023), we recommend you book your flights either early in 2022, or with a full refund policy in place. We will only run the workshop if it is 100% safe to do so; both for our teachers and our students. You must arrange insurance to ensure you do not loose out from your flights and such. In the unlikely event that the teacher cannot attend the workshop, you will be refunded your place in full. We can only refund your workshop place and not your travel or accomodation costs (unless you are staying with us).

Medical Conditions

Please inform us of any special medications for emergency purposes. You are responsible for bringing your own medicines throughout the workshop. All guests should be fit enough to walk un-aided for at least 2 hours and manage uneven stairs and occassionally steep walkways as we may visit a location which is historic. All guests must be able to carry their own equipment to and from painting sites and vehicles. We will always park as close as possible, but sometimes, there will be a walk.

Transport

Transfers to and from the airport are not include in the workshop price. However, I have a close friend who is a taxi driver and offers the best rates. When I know when folks are landing, I will always try and arrange for you to share the journey. If you are flying in from Europe, I would recommend flying into Leeds/Bradford Airport. If you flying in from outside of Europe, then look at flights into Manchester Airport.

Code of Conduct

To ensure a smooth running of the workshop, we ask you to come with a good spirit and a pinch of patience. We have a no-drama policy here at Rosemary & Co, and upon clicking accept to these terms and conditions, you are understanding that if your code of conduct is rude to the instructor, the other students or to the organisers, you will be asked to leave, without disruption, and without a refund. We would only ever do this if absolutely necessary for the good of the entire group. We are proud to have a happy and friendly place, and we ask that you respect you are joining us in Rosemary's home and grounds (unless you are coming to Staithes with Lori Putnam), and though this is a working environment for you for the week, once you leave, it returns to being Rosemary's home. A good measure of kindness and respect for the grounds and people you are alongside is paramount for this course.

What to expect once you sign up?

Once you've signed up, I will reach out to you shortly after. There will be a full materials list provided, an itinery for the week and of course, I will help you with transport and accomodation. I don't usually send out the itinerary or the materials list until the same year as the workshop, just for your information.

Let me know if you have more questions; email me.
