The line of Eclipse Extra Long Combers available in 7 popular sizes. Ideal for the oil artist who likes a sharp edge and to build layers. These brushes taper to a fine line turned sideways. For those who loved the 'old' style mongoose long flats, you will love these.
"Eclipse X-Long Comber brush is sturdy enough to push and apply paint to a specific area, and is soft enough, similar to the Ivory brand, to blend edges. The hairs form a precise sharp point to place the paint exactly where I want it. I love it!
My career as a painter and teacher spans over 40 years and where ever I am, in my studio, at my Plein Air workshops in Mt. Shasta, California, or in my weekly classes in the San Francisco Bay area, artists paint with brushes from all over the world. I have painted with brushes from most of the companies who sell paint brushes, and in all that time, I have never come across a brush that was truly revolutionary before the Rosemary Eclipse X Long Comber brush was introduced to me at the Plein Air Convention in San Diego this year.
I had a week to use the Rosemary Eclipse X-Long Comber brush and what an enjoyable experience it was! This brush has the look and feel of the traditional Badger or Mongoose brush that I have used for many years, but with a thinner profile.
The hair is sturdy enough to push and apply paint to a specific area, and is soft enough, similar to the Ivory brand, to blend edges. The hairs form a precise sharp point to place the paint exactly where you want it. And it works beautifully on the initial rough in and is fantastic to use when you are nearing the home stretch where the quality of brush strokes and edges really make a difference! I wish I had this brush to paint with when I produced my PBS series!
Good job, Rosemary! You have done it again! “ - Stefan Baumann June 2017
