USA UPDATE

USA shipments from 29th August 2025 - The ‘ de minimis’ duty threshold of $800 is to be abolished and replaced by a 10% tariff. The 10% will be collected now at checkout (plus any charges) and forwarded to US Customs BEFORE goods enter the USA.

IMPORT DUTY

As a company, we are not responsible for any import duties or taxes your country may require you to pay. It is your responsibility to check your import authorities’ terms & conditions for these costs. We are also not allowed, by law, to manipulate invoices or change the total amount for you.


BACK ORDERS

At certain times of year, our stock takes a real ‘hit’, particularly around September, which is when the school/college terms begin & just before Christmas. If we are out of stock on any item, we will attempt to contact you and keep you informed. Usually, the delay is only a few days – as a manufacturer, we don’t have to ‘wait’ for further supplies, we make our own! Sometimes on the larger Kolinsky Sable brushes we only ‘make to order’ – again you will be advised at the time of placing your order.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

We accept all credit and debit cards on this site. If you are shopping from outside the UK, then your card company will convert the currency for you – we invoice out in Pounds Sterling. Your card details are safe as we only use payment gateways with the highest security – we do not personally store any details.

VAT - VALUE ADDED TAX

All orders delivered to UK addresses are charged 20% VAT, which is shown on each product as included. For orders shipped outside these regions, the VAT will be deducted at checkout.

RETURNS

We are happy to issue a credit note or refund for any items returned to us in fully saleable condition within 14 days of receipt of your order. The customer pays the return postage and ensures items are packed securely, thus preventing damage on the return journey. Shortfalls or order errors should be notified within 7 days.

We reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee on any returns which are not defective by the manufacturer. We will gladly organise a swap for you if you ordered incorrectly or wish you had a different item. In this case, though, we cannot pay the postage/courier charge either way. We will go above and beyond to help you with returns and swaps, but in all instances, these will be at the discretion of the company and will be dealt with reasonably and fairly

WHAT IS IOSS?

IOSS (Import One Stop Shop), allows us to collect VAT on orders to the EU below €150. The €150 net threshold is calculated before adding VAT and shipping. This will mean that orders will pass through customs smoothly and quickly, and there will be no hidden charges. For orders over €150, they will be under the DDU service, which means that our courier will contact you when the parcel reaches customs and request payment of VAT and duty fees.
