Kate Tugwell Acrylic Set

Kate Tugwell is a professional portrait artist, qualified art tutor and the founder of Kate's Art Classes in West Sussex. After training as a graphic designer, she spent many years in the creative industry before following her passion for fine art, establishing a thriving business teaching drawing and painting alongside creating commissioned portraits.

Kate teaches from her woodland studio and at venues across Sussex, guiding artists of all abilities in a wide range of media including oils, acrylics, watercolour, pen and ink, charcoal, pastel and coloured pencil. Her relaxed, encouraging teaching style combines clear demonstrations with individual tuition, helping students develop strong technical skills while finding their own unique artistic voice. She enjoys painting a variety of subjects and styles and treats every painting as a challenge where something is bound to be learned!
