Billy Showell Fine Point Brush Set

Billy has become an internationally known botanical painter and illustrator and tutor and is based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK.

Originally Billy trained in fashion design and illustration, she quickly turned to her first love, painting and illustration. Her works are distinguishable by her striking, fluid and sometimes unusual compositions; she has won various botanical awards, an RHS SGM, 7 SBA Certificates of Botanical Merit and a Gold medal from the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society as well as many awards for ‘People’s Choice’. Billy’s work is held at Kew Botanic gardens, the Hunt Institute USA and in the Shirley Sherwood collection; her work is also held in many private collectors worldwide.

"These are my fabulous synthetic fine pointed brushes, I rely on these brushes for all my work. They have wonderful points and a softness that still retains a lovely spring. They perform beautifully and are affordable. A wonderful and reliable alternative to sable. The size 6 is great for big washes but still has a point for the smaller areas. The size 4 is a good all-rounder for both detail and medium size cover, it is essential! The 2 is perfect for painting lots of detail, the point is fine and yet it holds enough paint. The brand new size 1 is for the finest detail. As you get more experienced, you will love this brush!"
